Abstract

Forensic pathology is a medical specialty which is part of pathology science. In fact, it is the autopsybased
sub-discipline of pathology and is particularly concerned with investigations of deaths where
there are medico-legal implications. Forensic pathology also considered as the main core discipline in
medico-legal investigations of death. Meanwhile, in medico-legal aspects, the forensic pathologist
responsibility is to use a comprehensive investigative study of the circumstances of the cause that
lead to death [1-4]. For example, the degree of foetal skin loss in maceration could estimate the time
of death since a 1 cm skin loss indicates six hours and mummification two weeks after death.
